Objective:
The Day Care Center is designed to satisfy the psychological and educational needs of 20 children with AIDS.
Methods:
- Select and hire staff: 1 coordinator/president, 1 professor, part-time accountant.
- Secure a facility and create conditions that are optimal for the security, safety, transportation, and health of the children.
- Develop an educational program for the children.
- Select 20 children to benefit from services.
- Receive daily medication from the hospital.
- Coordinate a 1-week summer camp in the mountains.
- Publicize the program in the media.
Collaboration
Meetings will also be held with the County School Inspectors to discuss education issues in the Day Care.
Quality Assurance
During the first month of operation, a customer satisfaction questionnaire will be written. The survey will be conducted regularly to determine level of parental satisfaction. Results will be evaluated by all staff, trends in satisfaction will be monitored and suggestions will be made for improvements. After 3 months, customer satisfaction goals will be set.
Quarterly reports will be written to inform donors of program progress, budgetary issues, public relations, collaboration, customer satisfaction, and objectives for the next quarter.
After one year, a meeting will be held with the mass media and parents to publicize the results of the program.
